    Default Can anyone help Eyepieces for Celestron 127?





    Hi there,
    I,m looking into getting new ep,s for celestron 127 eq,
    i,m looking for an 8mm, 13mm, 17mm and 32mm along with a 2x barlow.
    What dimeter ep,s are they for this scope?
    ones i have measure about 1.25"

    Yeah 1.25 would be right. Eyepieces come in three barrel sizes .96 1.25 and 2.00 so anything marked 1.25 is going to be fine

    try 'skys the limit' in uk for BST Explorer EPs. They are great value for money and give very good views for £39 delivered. Alan there is an excellent guy. Very good service too.

    The 2X Barlow with the 17mm gives an 8.5mm EP
    The 2X Barlow with the 32mm gives a 16mm EP

    Thus a 20-21mm EP would be a better choice to avoid duplication of magnification. The progression, then, looks like:

    32mm -> 20mm -> 16mm=32/2X -> 13mm -> 10mm=20mm/2 -> 8mm -> 6.5mm=13mm/2
