Could I use this Orion Eyepiece set with my meade DS2114 reflector telescope?

Just making sure before I even consider a purchase. Another thing to ask is if this would be a worthy purchase for my scope.

Thats roughly 30 dollars a eyepiece ..If you dont already have one or two of the same focal length eyepieces that are in the set ..Dont count on using the filters ..Most that get bought just sit in the eyepiece case and collect dust ..They may get used once or twice but that is about it .. As far as the barlow goes ..They are useful when viewing the moon and planets when used with one of your higher power eyepieces ...They get you lots closer ...

So, if I didn't have most of those pieces, you'd recommend it. Otherwise you'd simply suggest getting what I need, right?

    I have a 25mm, a 9mm and a 5mm?(I think it's 5). I also already have a 2x Barlow.

Should I just buy the wider field of view pieces and avoid the filters all together?

If you already have those three i would buy something widefield ..Most plossl eyepieces only have a 50 degree field ..Look for at least 70 degree and if you can afford it go wider .. Plossl eyepieces are good for the moon and planets ..

Most anything fully multicoated with a wide field of view .. If you would consider buying used look at optic shops ..Sometimes they have used/demo stuff fairly inexpensive ...

You could consider a 32mm plossl. That wil give you the widest possible view for a 1.25 inch barrel. I have heard good things about the GSO 32mm plossl. Nice price too ($36, free shipping). With your barlow that would also give you a 16mm option, in between the 25 and 9 mm that you already have.
