I managed to get an hour of clear sky last night and so had a chance to try out the 9mm TMB Planetary II.
From my LP back garden there was very little difference in contrast and brightness compared to my cheap EPs that came with my scope, however the FOV and eye relief make the TMB so much easier to use.
When I used it on the moon it performed better than my other EPs. The contrast and brightness did appear better and the FOV was wow! So much more of the moon was visible with ease. The better contrast and brightness was evident when I used my moon filter on the TMB and my other EPs.
I will be adding some more of these TMBs as they do allow a more comfortable viewing and you do see more of the night sky.
