    Default Inexpensive EP case

Hello all, just wanted to share this with you. After deciding not to spend massive amounts of case on a fancy eyepiece case, I went looking and found this Fishing Reel Case (Plano) which is available online and in major sporting goods stores across the USA. Price varies from $17.95-$19.95which makes it a great deal. I found on examination a second foam layer sandwiched between the upper an lower sheets is 'Pluck n pull' perforated! Takes about 20 minutes to set it up as an eyepiece case (or any other small gear you want to put in it) Pictures attached for those interested of my final setup.

Thats an awesome setup. Funny how prices drop when you take the word astronomy or telescope out of the product name

Freaking awesome find!!! I found an old typewriter case (from the 1960's) at a local thrift shop for about a $1. No foam and I've been trying to find some foam to put in it. Once I find that, I'd have to start the meticulous task of cutting out the foam with an X-acto knife. Not looking forward to it. This is exactly what I am looking for for a cheap price! Think I'll go with this item and pick one up today. Thanks!!! I did however also find a laptop soft carry case at the thrift shop too for about a $1. Will work great to carry papers, my books, tools, etc.

My case looks identical to yours. It was $11 at Walmart, in the gun section of the store.

Way to go! I checked my local 'Wallymart', but they had nothing, so I wound up purchasing mine at Cabela's for $17.95, still, it's a great deal for so little money. Shhhhhh...we'd better stop discussing this or Plano will relabel the case "Eyepiece Case" and raise the price to $99.95...

You're most welcome, hey, post some pics of your case when you've got it set up for everyone to drool over... And it'll fit the Telrad and finderscope with ease, I'm sure.
