    Default The $1,000 Eyepiece

Never too early to get that wish list going for Christmas. I wondered when eyepieces were going to hit the magic $1,000 mark. 120 degrees, and it weighs in at 3 Lb.

I'm sure it's very nice. If I had 1000 astro-bucks to spare, I wouldn't be spending it on 120 degrees!

Given that there already have been $1000 eyepieces (Lietz and a few more), 21E is $800 and 31NT5 is $600. It is not like the field is untested, time will tell.

    I wish them success.
