Default TeleVue 2" Big Barlow vs GSO 2" Barlow

OK I'm in for a Barlow but can't decide which one. I'm looking for a 2" Barlow that is still affordable. So basically i narrowed it down to either the GSO 2" or TeleVue 2".
As far as I know the GSO has quite a few good reviews but I don't seem able to find anything about the TV Big Barlow.

Can anyone help me out here ? Which one would you prefer and why ?

    Thanks a lot

TeleVu makes quality optic's, and I'm partial to them. Price is good too. Don't know about the GSO.

    Thanks for the reply.
So far I only found reviews of the Powermates but not a single one about the Big Barlow.
As you say, Tele Vue makes quality optics and I'm leaning towards that Barlow. But then again, GSO has good reports too. So if someone has experience with the TV Big Barlow that would be great.

televue do indeed make good optics.
    so do gso.
the tv will be of better quality, but imho, does not
    warrant 3X the price.
you will not get 3X the performance.
gso are surprisingly good vfm for the price, and alot of
people tend to overlook them because they do not have the
    high price tag.
they supply a number of the main names, such as meade etc,
who just rebrand them and up the price.
if it's the brand name you want, then the tv,but if you just want
a good functioning barlow, that tbh,you would be pushed to
    find a great difference,and at a reasonable price,the gso.
this is just my opinion fwiw,i'm not one to buy something
just because of a name,i buy it for what it will do.
    hope this helps.

    Very interesting point of view.
I'll have to re-think all that a little bit. So basically it comes down to if I want to spend the money or not, right ?
I don't really care if it's GSO or TeleVue. All I want is a Barlow that works and apparently both of them are good.

imho, yes,it's down to whether you want the little green
writing on the barrel or not :-)
as i said, you won't be getting 3X the performance for sure.
for me,budget does dictate, and if i could honestly justify the
    extra money,then yes,but i cannot.
i have two gso barlows, and i have borrowed other higher
priced brands at star parties to compare.
my eyes could see no significant differences.
as i said, just my opinion and hope it helps.

The GSO 2" ED with 1.25" adapter is excellent value for money spent, and as Andy has already said "you wont be able to see any significant difference between the two". I have a collection of GSO barlows and eyepieces and in my view they represent the best value for money.

    Hi alfaisalll,
if the focusser barrel size is the same for both scopes the 2x barlow will work for the Visionking 90.

While the TeleVue will give you a better view than the GSO, I settled on the GSO becasuse the TeleVue barlow wasn't $150 better, in my opinion.
