Question Color cast in Meade UWA versus Televue Radians

Looking at Jupiter this morning I noticed the radians gave extreme clarity, contrast and sharpness with no off color visible. When I swithched to the Meade 4.7 UWA there was a very noticible "coffee" colored tint to the image. I had not used the Meade much since i bought the 3 Radians last year (18mm, 8mm and 6mm) I guess I just forgot about the color cast. Anyone else have this experience? Do all Meade eypieces have this color cast? I only have the one.

No, not all Meade eyepieces do. The difference between the two eyepieces is in the optical make up. The Tele Vue uses higher index glass and better coatings. The optical design of the Radian was to offer outstanding sharpness and close to true color Planetary views. Most UWA eyepieces are for deep sky objects. The 13mm TV Nagler I have gives a slight warm color to planetary objects compared to eyepieces that are designed for planetary viewing.
