Unhappy orion q70 32mm taken apart

I know I did the dumbest thing ever, it was an accident. I unscrewed the barrel thinking it would be easier to clean the outermost lens, that is when it got slightly out of position and I ended up getting all the 5 lens elements out of the barrel just trying to fix this one lens.y
Contacted Orion right away, but to my dismay not even their tech support could help me.
All the 5 lens elements are perfect, nothing damaged.I just messed
up the order in which they were supposed to go in. Also the order of the lens separators add to the confusion.
I have attached an image that i sent Orion which shows all the different pieces.I can only hope that someone can come up with a solution to this.

    Poor guy.

You could try contacting University Optics (Telescope Accessories, Eyepieces, Oculars & Supplies by University Optics). They sell exact same EP under a different name. Perhaps they could direct you to the Korean manufacturer for technical advice.

    Wish you good luck.

I feel for you. I did the same thing earliar this year. Luckily I put the thing back together. As for how the lenses go back together, I don't know. However my ep (which is the exact same one), I would say works 95% at night, not so good during the day. The little spec I originally tried to get off is off, but now the lenses are a little smuged. I also do not know if it was the correct way to put it back together. If you are comfortable with how to clean and the link nrivard gave can't help, experiment a little. If you have any questions, ask. I may be able to help.

If you are going to handle optics, put on some latex gloves first.

I somehow managed to put it back together on my own after doing some research. From what i got from Orion, i think it is an Erfle Type Eyepiece.Found this image on different kinds of eyepieces.I think I've got the order of the lenses correct but I'm not so sure about the lens separators.Anyhow I will check it with my Dob as soon as it stops raining.
Rick,University Optics couldn't help either, so I may have to experiment a little more if I don't get it right this time.

I got the arrangement correct and it worked fine.Only there is a lot more Spherical aberration on the edges. The stars on the edges appear as small lines.I'm probably going to get it exchanged for a new one.
Lesson learnt:never take apart an eyepiece (even accidentally) especially if its a multi element one with a hefty price.
