I am dealing with them at the present. We are discussing selling Kson products through the forum.

They are an electronics and optics company moving into the Consumer Optics market.

They sent me a catalog, but I get the impression that some of the products are still under development.

They have a line of doublet ED refractors 3.5" to 5" and an APO triplet at 102mm. There is also an interesting medium weight alt/az mount with wedge which is wi-fi ready.

I was thinking of selling basic astrophoto setups through the forum, with Gus taking a suitable cut, if all componants were small enough to ship by mail. They would be recieved and trans-shipped from here.

    Margins are pretty thin though.

Basing it on the appearance of the Kson ortho's from here:

Abbe Ortho Eyepiece - Detailed info for Abbe Ortho Eyepiece,Eyepiece,Abbe Ortho Eyepiece,F24,F16.8,F10.5 on Alibaba.com

and also the focal lengths, they seem to be the equivalents of the Apogee super abbe orthos, found a pic on the internet, the 7.7mm:

which looks just like the Kson 7.7mm, the only difference was that the Apogee label was just added.

So, just google Apogee and you'll learn more about the approximate performance of the Kson orthos, they seem to be ok, not the best, but can get the job done. Have read reviews though that the University Optics HD orthos (which I have and are very good) will give them (Apogee) a run for the money. Hope this helps.

    Best,

    Hernando

Nero, how did you go with the Kson... I am thinking of getting one for my husband. Would love to know how you found it if you did end up getting it, or if anyone else might have experience with them??
