    Default 12V Laptop/Netbook

Does anyone know of any laptops or netbooks that can be powered directly from a 12V car battery? I've checked the laptops and netbooks here and at friends and their wall warts are all between 18.5 and 31 volts DC output. I can run an inverter off a battery but the inverter will eat power and then so will the wall wart... Wasted amps!

Yeah, my macbook lasts about 7 hours as well, you can just get an inverter for the cig lighter in your car and run an extension cord to where your scope is and plug it in that way though

Hello.,,.,I am off the grid ,.and run my HP laptop off a 100watt inverter that plugs into a cig lighter,.,,it draws 2-2.5 amps per hr. not a big deal for a well charged battery.,,the inverter it self draws next to nothing,.,.good luck.,.,O+O
