No No the replacement is for the 21mm EP that I ordered. I received the 13mm EP that I ordered in addition. Sorry to confuse.

On a sad not, the SCT threaded adapter was not compatible with my OPT 2" Diagonal. The threading on the diagonal is wider than the adapter. . .

I sent the following email to OPT in hopes that they will be able to assist me in finding a solution.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    I have a Celestron 6" SCT: Celestron 6" f/10 SCT XLT Optical Tube Assembly - 91010XLT - OPT Telescopes

For this scope I have purchased an OPT 2" star diagonal OPT Deluxe 2" Dielectric Mirror Diagonal - OPT Telescopes

I purchased this Diagonal so that I could use it with both my SCT and any future scope that I purchase (Refractor). To make this diagonal compatible with my SCT I have tried 2 adapters, also purchased from OPT.
I tried the OPT 2" SCT adapter OPT 2" Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes (SCT) - OPT Telescopes when using this adapter, I could not insert the star diagonal far enough into the adapter to secure a fit. The result is that when slewing the scope, the diagonal will slip.
I then attempted to use the WO SCT 2" adapter William Optics SCT Adapter for 2" Diagonals - OPT Telescopes Unfortunately the adapter does not have the same thread size as the OPT diagonal.

Im hoping that since all of these products are purchased from OPT you may be able to help me find a solution.

    -----------------------------------------------------------
I will post their replay once I receive it. Im starting to feel like my only solution will be to get a threaded SCT diagonal. . which is unfortunate because it will make rotating the diagonal much more difficult, and I will not be able to use it in future scopes.

... well ... resurrecting this thread ... lots of great info ...

    ... also ... just ordered a set of Hyperions ... 3.5mm, 5mm, and 8mm ... found them for $100.00 (US) each and I have been wanting a set ...

... I'll add the others later, but these will complement my GSO Superview 2" EPs very well, and they now allow me to use nothing but straight 2" gear on the Celestron C6-R ...

... can't wait for them to get here and I figure as long as I piggy back my "Astro-gear Purchase-Curse" off of brother Rich's recent purchases we should all be in the clear on the east-coast USA sometime soon ... lol ...

Note: I believe hyperion without nosepiece looses most of the massive eye relief?
I used an 8mm with both 1 1/4 and 2 in diagonals in both my 100mm and 120mm refractors......no probs but watch for the nose hitting the diagonal mirror in the 2in mount...EOS DSLR camera on the 2in mount is stable....not so the 1 1/4in. Extension are a bit of a faff but useful if you dont want to transport loads of other (heavy) eyepieces that might not be as good!
Clear skies and happy new year!
