Except on some of the very high end finders which accept standard Eyepieces, focus is usually adjusted by rotating the objective lens, as Geoff has pointed out. To do this you will need to loosen the locking ring directly behind the objective cell, then turn the objective one way or the other until focus is reached, then lock the ring up again
