Default EP's and Filters for Telescope

Hello, new member here so please bear with me for the moment.

I have just got back into astronomy after about 7 years and have purchased a Meade DS-2114ATS reflector. This is my first goto scope and it that took me a little time to get the alignment procedure figured out, but I think I have a grip on it now. What was causing my alignment problems is that I never knew about True North..Duh.. Ok, now onto the point of this post. I'm looking for some (general)recommendations on what EP's and filters I should think about getting in the future. If anyone out there has this scope maybe you can point me in the right direction. Lol.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance... ...........of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.....................

i wouldn't invest too much money into this scope, didn't you get EP,s with it-if not your probably better off getting the celestron EP kit for $99 (5ep,s4 filters and a barlow)you might want to get a variable polarizer for looking at the moon

Thanks for your advise. But judging by your response I take it that your trying to tell me that I could have bought a better scope than the DS-2114 with my money and yes, it did come with two eye pieces (9mm-25mm) and a 2X barlow. As with most of my hobbies I tend to "test the water" to get a feel before I just jump in only to realize I'm in way over my head. Please note that I'm not in no way trying to get in a pi$$ing contest with you and I totally respect your opinon as I have noted in your other posts here that you do know what your talking about. No hard feelings OK Now with all that BS out of the way, can you point out some of the flaws of the DS-2114 so that I'll know what to look for if I decide to buy another scope in the future.

I not looking to spend 100's of dollars on eye pieces right away since I don't know exactly what I'm getting into. However, that Celestron EP kit does look appealing. Maybe later.

Again, Thanks for your help.
