Default Lunar Filters for Moon Watching?

Hi,

I am new to scopes and wanted to buy a Neutral Density lunar Filter for my Celestron 80 EQ refractor. Celestron has three ND lunar filters identified as #96ND 50%T, 25%T, and 13%T.

Which of these does anyone recommend as a good general use filter? I assume the percentages refer to the amount of light blocked by the filter.

thanks

Default

I prefer a variable polariser
Two polarising filters that can be rotated against each other - infinitely variable between about 1% light transmission to 99%

And if using a diagonal - the VP filter can be separated into two - put one polariser on the end of the diagonal, and the other piece on the eyepiece - you can then vary the brightness by rotating the eyepiece (no need to remove EP, adjust filter, etc)
