Has anyone seen one of these before?

Was thinking about buying one of these for the 11" Edge that I recently got (for the yet to be assembled observatory).
It looks like a pretty nice piece of gear for $199. Wasn't sure of how unobstructed the optical path might be (e.g. like the EyeOpener for Meade, or the Baader Click-Lock fits on the 3-inch threads instead of the standard

Already on back-order from Astronomics. I guess I will find out!

Celestron looks to be bringing in a few new items for the new year. I noticed they are introducing a 7 inch Mak to the brand lineup. Which I'm sure is just a re-skinned Synta (ala SkyWatcher / Orion)

Well mine just came in yesterday in the mail. But these 5-day work weeks are really a drag, and it was like 10 degrees when I walked in the door last night. Energy reserves were completely depleted. Bummer, because it was clear as heck last night as the Evil Orb was setting, but even the Pugs did not last more than a couple of minutes.

I am going to see if I can manage to actually take something that I ordered out of the box this time and take a look.

That and maybe fix the Outdoor Temperature Thermostat and crank it up to around 30 or so for tonight.

Refractors kick arse precisely because they don't hide behind excuses. That is, they have no obstructions to hide behind.

Because of mirror flop, most people imaging tend to lock down the mirror and have an external SCT focuser.

It's pc driven. If the software is anything like their Nexstar software, I'll pass on Celestron and get the JMI focuser.
