    Default Replacement filter cells available

Just an FYI, as I've seen several post over the years with folks having trouble with filters not being threaded correctly for certain EP's etc. Agena is now carrying the Blue Fireball brand empty replacement cells, which may be worth a try if you have a few of those problematic filters that just don't thread on correctly.

    Hello all,

very good filter cells are available from TS: https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop...6-mm-dick.html

I am using these cells to mount filters from the microscopy accessories, which have a better optical quality than most of the color filters offered for the hobby astronomy.

    Best,

just a silly question, how do you undo the original filter cell, almost everything camera, astrophotography, astronomy related is glued in ie glue in the threads.

If you look at the TeleVue Planetary filter in the picture above you can see the locking ring. It has two small notches in it opposite each other.

You can see another on the Bresser filter above, just over where it says 'Single'. Use something like a toothpick to unthread this ring using the notch. In my experience these aren't glued and are often loose when I receive the filter.
