    Default Goodies! Goodies everywhere!

Nice new goodies in the mail today, the Celestron 2" diagonal and the Orion Q70 38mm eyepiece. The weather looks good tonight to try them out, can't wait!

    So many trees in NJ!

I have the 3 eyepiece set and they work great in my LS8 f10 scope. I've used the 38mm primarily as a finder eyepiece and it's done a great job in all my scopes. Good eyepiece for the longer focal length scopes. I'm giving my Q70 set to my adult grandson along with a C102GT refractor and a ES Twilight I mount. They were excellent in this scope also.

Congrats on the new stuff. When the big brown truck pulls up to my house, I feel like I did when I was a kid, when the ice cream truck just arrived

The Q70 was the first "good" eyepiece I have used (star parties at the local society have not started yet for the season) and my first reaction was "Wow it's full of stars!". I am impressed, and can see why the general concensus is 2" for wide and 1.25" for close up observing. There is a huge difference in the FOV of the Q70 over the 32mm that came with my set.
