    Default S Hemisphere planisphere

I'm looking to buy one in South Africa. I posted on this forum because the one dedicated to S Africa appears defunct. I've asked at Exclusive Books and Adams bookshop, but they don't appear to know what a planisphere is. Assistance greatly appreciated.

You might checkout Sky and Telescope's online store, they have this one for 30 degrees south. I'd suspect that would work for you, and they're a pretty good planisphere, I have the one for 40 degrees north.

    Hello Carpo,

through your Normandy residence, you may get a planisphere here Teleskop-Express: Planisphere for 30° S , which may be the cheapest source.

Otherwise, you may explain the planisphere to the bookshop as what has been left when a truck has made its way over a celestial globe.

    Happy shopping,

Refractors kick arse precisely because they don't hide behind excuses. That is, they have no obstructions to hide behind.
