Default Nexstar 6SE first light (well for me anyway) - what a sight!

Finally - after 2 months of overcast, I eventually managed to get my new NextStar 6SE out and point it at the heavens. Even though I bought it 2nd hand, for me, it's this scope's first light and what a sight! I only have a 25mm eyepiece (that came with it at) so I stuck to the "larger" objects. Even then, I had brilliant views of the Orion Nebula, M41 (wow), M50, M47, a few double stars and Jupiter with 3 of it's moons. I previously had a 4SE but this is AWESOME - I love it! Wish I had known about M79 and LoveJoy though.

It's overcast again so who knows when the next bit of clear sky will appear but I can't wait!

Congratulations on your new scope! It is amazing when you get the opportunity to point a larger aperture scope at the heavens. They come alive.

Congratulations to your new to you telescope. Celestron's 6 inch SCT is one great scope. Enjoy it and thanks for the report.

Congratulations on the "new" scope, glad you're enjoying it. I have one myself and love it. I hope your skies clear soon so you can enjoy it even more.
