    Well....

Here's my 2 cents (for what that's worth!).

I always had an interest in solar work even though I invested most of my money in DSO imaging. I saw many of the great solar images posted on AF.net and decided to make the investment do solar imaging. With lots of help from fellow members I can now say I'm a "solar head".

I live in a bortle 8 area and have always struggled with DSO imaging.

With the solar work I don't have to worry about light pollution!!!

I find I can do my solar work most any day the sun is shining and don't have to worry about the moon wiping it out too often.

The capture and processing is quite different from DSO work so a new set of challenges which I enjoy.
