Default Uneven Lunt 60mm, what do you think?

As I have been getting better and more discerning I have noticed my Lunt 60mm is not very even.

I've been exchanging some email with Lunt but to be honest, they have been very slow to respond.

Now that I have looked at this for a bit, it appears that the sweet spot is not in the middle but is in in one quadrant. If I go to the other quarters I get a bright band.

Example, three images shot with same exposure, just a single image no stacking and the scope was moved for each shot. What do you think?

    Hi,
if it is a pressure tuned model, the sweet spot should be in the center.
If it is a tilt tuned type then I believe that the banding is inevitable.

    I think.

Hopefully someone with more experience will confirm/deny the above.

Hi David, what is it like visually. The sweet spot in mine is pretty much centered, and if I start to move the disk towards the edge, I loose detail on the side closest to the edge. With the Sun centered in the FOV, try adjusting the focuser by releasing the grub screws slightly and see if it makes a difference, I'm not sure if it will help, but doesn't hurt to try.

Visually I am getting the same thing and there is also a bit of ghosting to one side of the sun disc which also shows up in images.

I have a moonlite focuser and you can adjust it as there are some collimation screws

The scope is on the way to lunt solar systems.

After some discussion with them and pictures and a video slewing the scope around, they agreed there was something not right and they would take a look at it.

For future reference, I did have better luck calling them on the phone. They seemed to be very slow responding to email although they did get the emails.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be back in business with even better images!
