Thanks for a good report. I have looked through the same scope a few times at the local scope store and i really enjoy it snd i am leaning towards purchasing one but have not pulled the trigger yet. With a report like yours- i can take your info and relate it if/ when i purchase one. Right now i do white light and look forwards to the jumpnto Ha.
    Thanks!

    Hi AbbN,
What can I say?! I'm the typical GUY! Tinker with it first, THEN read instructions only as a last resort! I think me and TILLIBOBS were cast from the same mold. Instructions?! HA!! Silly people!! Who needs instructions?! Instructions are for DUMMIES, not ME!!! Thanks, Everyone

This is truly a remarkable instrument. The first impression made upon me was how HEAVY this thing was. Wow! That impressed upon me that there must be some serious "stuff" inside and not just a few colored lenses!! I think a lot of people who are fascinated with star-gazing don't stop to realize that the most amazing star of all is our own. It changes every minute and is never boring. I've just started, but am really looking forward to this. Prominences are my main interest. When one sees them in the scope, it's difficult to remember the the little disk that one is seeing is almost a million miles across and the earth could pass through a prominence with room to spare! Wow! Sunspots are pretty cool, too. I read the definition of "plages". But, I must admit, I really couldn't understand a lot of the terminology used in the definition. Looks like I have some "studying" to do, huh? Thanks again everyone. Lon ...
