Default Skywatcher 130M finderscope

I am looking to replace the stock finderscope on my Skywatcher 130M newtonian. I think I will go with an orion finderscope and I already have the mounting bracket to install. My question is go with a 6X30 or the 9X50. Is 9X50 overdoing it a little. Will the added weight (16 oz) hamper the EQ2 mount. I notice the mount on the 9X50 is shorter, would the right angle version be a better option. Thanks for any replies in advance.

The right angle version (9X50) is what I have on my Orion XT10, and it is VERY nice to be able to look through the finder without contorting yourself to look through a straight-through finder on the scope.
When you say added weight, do you mean 16 oz. total, or 16 more oz. over and above the weight of the scope you're replacing? I think if it's the former, you shouldn't have any trouble.
As far as the magnification goes, it shouldn't make much difference. After all, it's the size of the objective that's the real key here--gathering enough light to place your object in the crosshairs.
Also, the 6X50 may give you a little wider field of view which, when searching the sky for that elusive object just at the edge of the FOV, can be a real advantage.
Good luck.
