    Default Skywatcher Skymax Synscan 127

Hi, considering purchasing this scope, any feedback on this scope would be most appreciated. Are the optics any good, is the Goto reliable, and what would I expect for planetary and deep space viewing? Thank you in advance for any comments.

    Hi,

I think you will find the Skywatcher Skymax Synscan 127 is an excellent telescope. The SkyWatcher SynScan AZ mount is very accurate and reliable. The tripod is a little shakey but can easily be stiffened with little effort. The telescope itself is a Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope with a focal ratio of f/11.8. It will be excellent for objects that require some magnification and with the proper eyepieces do very well for deep space too. Finially, it is rather compact and easy to move about and setup.
