    Default Astrofarm in France

I've just returned from a holiday to France, during which we spent 3 nights at Astrofarm on the outskirts of a little town called Confolens near Limoges.
It's been set up by a couple we know from around this area, and it's designed for Astronomers of all levels of experience. The skies are pretty good, and the microclimate means that although clear skies aren't guaranteed, they usually get far more clear than cloudy.

You can take your own equipment or borrow theirs, which range from a C11 to a 6" Dob, and there's a fully equipped Observatory with warm room.

If you're less experienced, Andrew will share his years of expertise to help you make the most of your time there.
I took my own Star Adventurer and got these images

    Cassiopeia MW stretched.jpg
    M31 stretch adj.jpg
All opinions you read here are given freely and are worth every cent.

Meade LS8 and Skywatcher 127mm Mak for observing, Pentax K5 and Modded Canon 1000d for photographing
Modified PS3 EYE for when we get planets
Mid Cheshire Astro Society and the Delamere Forest Astronomers for company
Recently added Star Adventurer for dSLR imaging.

Относительно темное местечко. Для астрофотографов отлично! Для визуальных наблюдателей Deep-Sky тоже может подойти! Жаль, что высота над уровнем моря не значительная.
