    Default Local astronomy club

I found a local astronomy club that I plan on joining next month, and I was wondering what to expect from it? I understand it may vary from place to place, but I figured I'd ask to get an idea of what you guys do with your clubs. I'm kind of excited to meet some local people that have been doing this for awhile and can help me get started in a hands on way!

Excellent! Astro clubs do vary widely. Some are stuffy and others dynamic, and everything in between. Hopefully your's will be a good one. Do give us a report after your first meeting. It will make for a good thread or you can post to this thread if you prefer.
