    Nice upgrades Bryan
Most achromatics are made slightly undercorrected for spherical abberation so a prism which is normally slightly over corrected can actually help improve the view a bit. Personally I prefer the right angle prism to an Amici but then that is all personal choice

You're giving me ideas. The only thing I don't like about my ST80 is the lack of a 2" back....
    Good job!

That's one of the nice things with small refractors - it's practical to use a 2" focuser with them. My vixen SS80 has a 2" focuser - and I managed to set my 60mm up with one too .

It is for the little helpful things like this that I always check and recommend Scopestuff to people.

Well, at 0730 this morning, I got a text notification from the United States Postal Service indicating my Rigel QuickFinder was out for delivery. Oh boy!

1400 hrs. rolled around, and no "delivered" notification was received. I ventured out to the mailbox and found a single solitary piece of junk mail. Dang it.

I sat and contemplated a bit and pouted, and realized I'd failed to check the mail yesterday. So about 1500 hrs. I checked again and nuthin'. Dang it.

Around 1630 hrs., I decided to check again, and I had another pile of junk mail and no Rigel. Dang it. I decided to go ahead and set up the scopes for tonight, sans QuickFinder.

While I was doing that, I was thinking on ways to address my non delivery with the local post office. I then noticed the postman moving up the other side of the street in his Jeep, but still nothing for me. On a whim, I went out and checked the mailbox again, just in case, and lo, a small brown box was sitting there waiting on me. Yippee!

I carried it out to the scope and opened the box. Wow, this thing is a lot smaller than the telrad on my dob. I flipped it on and nothing happened. No reticle showed in the viewing window. I check for batteries, and indeed, one is installed. I finally realized I was looking through it backwards. Flipping it around, I could now see the reticle. Wow. I almost put it on the scope the wrong way.

Anyway, I got it installed quickly enough. Very cool.

I still need to fashion a dew hood out of craft foam for it. It should be ok tonight as dry as the air is right now. Roll on the darkness.

BTW, it came with an extra base, so I'll likely put that one on my Mak. The red dot finder on that scope and I have a hard time coming to terms.

Nice looking rig(s) Bryan. Looks like you are running out of real estate on that 127 though!
