sorry to hear about your 6mm BCO.
I guess, they are assembled in Taiwan, and the person making the assy has had wet fingers.
The BCO 6mm has no field stop, not enough spacing between the triplet and the eye lens.
My piece works fine, better than anything I have had before in the range f=5mm up to f=7mm.

So, on your place I'd send it back for replacement.
    Best,

Good info here. Actually, I eventually traded all my BCO's along with the turret and classic barlow, and my four TMB II's in for credit to OPTCorp last year during one of their double bonus points offer and rolled the money offered over to finish out my Tak Abbe lineup. I'm much happier now. That said, I am about ready to click the buy now button on a 1.25X Dakin barlow to fill in the holes in the Abbe line (giving me a 10, 7, 5, and 3.2mm in addition to the rest).

    Hello Steve,

the Tak line is another league, of course, once Tak, always Tak and nothing else.

With the Synta achromatic refractors, I'd say that it is possible to balance well the arsenal of the suited eyepieces, especially when there is an access to the pre-owned markets, like in U.K. and sometimes even in Germany.
What I am definitely not ready to compromise is the quality and performance of the filters.

A review of your equipment is welcome, and I'd love to read it,

    JG

I really cleaned house. Stuff adds up.

This Astro-Tech AT80 ED really grabbed me. It's more portable than the C80ED and faster, potentially better for DSOs. It's beautifully built like my AT72ED but with more aperture.
