    Default Celestron Omni XLT 120

So i'm looking at a used in very good condition xlt 120. If i can get the seller to $350 would that be a solid deal?
I currently have an Orion XT6 dob. This would be my 1st real refractor. I've been intrigued by refractors after viewing through a forum member's scope out in the desert last year. Are EQ mounts a pain in the rear? i don't have much experience with them.
    thanks

I'd say so, but check out the mount and the focuser carefully first

I have one of these and love it! Good luck!

Sounds like a good deal if its in good shape. On EQ mounts I don't find them to be a problem, but some fold do. I like the ease of tracking even without a electric drive, just one control knob.

The 120XLT comes standard with a CG4 mount, which is fine for viewing. As long as the mount and scope is in good shape, $350 is a bargain.

    Great,
how would it compare to something shorter like the orion 120st? I'm mostly into observing DSO's Galaxy and Nebulae and some planetary viewing.
    Thanks
