Can someone please give me a brief description of what a Refractor Telescope looks like and common features? I do know what they look like, but I need to write it for an assignment and I can't find the information for it. All I can find is all the physics and the history of them.

In its simplest form, a refracting telescope is a tube with an objective (front) lens and an eyepiece. Light passing through the lenses is bent (refracted) to focus and be clearly visible. The pirate spyglass is one example. |
