Default I've Got It!!! WOOP WOOP!

    Woohoo!

Finally! Today was the day I finally purchased the Skywatcher Startravel 120 on an AZ3 mount. Heres my first impressions:

    - Scope feels and looks of a nice quality.
    - The mount IS sturdy, even with the scope on. Some people say the ST120 is undermounted on the AZ3 mount, well simply, they're WRONG!
    - The red dot finder needs to be alligned. Ill do it when there's some clear skies up above (fingers crossed).
    - The two eyepieces and star diagonal are of a good quality. The eyepieces are GLASS not PLASTIC <--- I've been told that this is a good sign
    - Easy to set up and use, takes me around 2 minutes to get it up and running.

I CANT WAIT FOR CLEAR SKIES!!!

Cheers to everyone for the help you've given me!

    Clear Skies,
    Luke

The eyepieces better be glass! The center objective lens on that scope is plastic though. It's a new hi-tech FPL-53 polymer.

Just a querie I've got, it's probably nothing.

When i was alligning my red dot finder, I had to point my telescope out of a window to see something far enough away to allign it. I couldn't get the image into focus on my telescope (I was using no eyepieces). This is probably obviously because I was using it through a window, but just wanted to check.

Also, theres a bit of dust on my lens, will this affect performance? I've been told it shouldn't, and that I shouldn't fiddle with the lenses.

    Cheers

I'm probably being stupid, but just wanted to check some things.

When I look at something inside my house (max distance away aboput 20m) I can't get it into focus. This is with NO eyepiece. Is this because the object is simply TOO CLOSE, or is it a problem?

When I look through a window with my telescope at something about 400m away, I still cant focus in on it. Is this because I'm looking through a window, because the object is STILL TOO CLOSE or a problem?

And finally... Why wont the clouds GO AWAY!!!!

Cheers, just wanted to check up on a few things.
