Seems like a good deal for the price, but prepare to be underwhelmed.

However, at $100 it seems good to me.

This is an excellent deal if you want an entry level telescope. You can see a lot of stuff with a 130 mm telescope. You will be able to see planets, the moon, galaxies, nebula, and other objects ..... but .... nothing will be like what you see in photographs. For that, you will need a very large and expensive telescope and even then, the views will not be like the photos.

Sounds like a good deal to me as well. A lot of times these scopes have very good optics. Where they save money is on the tripod. They tend to be shaky and vibrate a lot. Don't let this deter your though. $100.00 is a bargain. My first scope had a shaky tripod and there are ways to help fix the problems. Anyway it is fun to tinker with stuff. Also, welcome to the forum.

I ordered the same scope from amazon. Great deal since other places sell it for between $150-175.

I've only been able to use it once, but I am impressed with it. Crystal clear views, easy to use, and the tripod is sturdy (at least a lot more than I thought it would be at the price).

I did have an astromaster 90 eq-med refractor, but it was not well built. The eyepiece almost fell out of the plastic focuser. This Sky-Watcher is well constructed compared to the astromaster.
