Default 12" apertura base compatible with zhumell?

Hello, first time poster long time reader lol. Anyway I've been really interested in getting a scope for a while now. I've bought a couple books and got some binos to prepare myself. Getting used to finding things in the sky. I found a really good deal on a 12" Zhumell scope. I think she said she wants 350 for it. Says it comes with all the accessories and the pictures show it all there. Said hardly used. Thing is, it doesn't come with the mount/ base. She had two of them and one base but it was sold with the other telescope. I've been reading and based upon that, is that the Zhumell and Apertura are the same thing just branded different. Although I'm a complete newbie so I'm not exactly sure. With that in mind, I can find and order a Apertura base from High Point for like 165. That would bring it to 515 which is a awesome deal. That is, if it is compatible. I can't seem to find any Zhumell bases on their own. Otherwise I wouldn't be asking this question. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks, they still had it and I'm picking it up Thursday. I know it comes with the 2" 30mm and the smaller 9mm. Any other eyepeice choices you suggest for this scope? Or should I just take my time and learn on these first? Like I'd like to get some good looks at planets but I know that this is best suited for deep sky.

The Explore Scientific 82° 18mm is an amazing eyepiece in that scope...

Our local planetarium was given an older Zhumell 12" dob. The tube had a different style bearings on it. There was a problem with the coating on the primary mirror coating. Shortly later someone donated an Apertura AD 12. As long as both scopes are the same version(newer vs. older) the only difference is the name. Great light buckets. Enjoy!
