Orion make F6 mirrors, I have a couple, one installed. They still make their own. My current favourite is my 8" F5 1/6 wave. On a good night it gives some lovely views. Not that I get too many good nights in Reading UK.

I have a more recent VX6 F5 and it is such a good all rounder and easy to get out the door as grab n go, sounds like you nabbed a great scope there at a great price. People often say an F5 is not so great on planets and lunar and yes I get why, but my VX6 way way exceeded my expectations and delivers lovely views. I did buy it for wide field work and it really excels for this. So the much underated 6 inch F5 newtonian is a real asset in my collection.
