Default Mars life?

If there is life on mars (an icy desert) wouldnt that mean that life could be literly anywhere even in the solar system andif given the right conditions life can evolve into complex ,and since its belived that we came from cells can we evolve the mars life (if we find it) in the lab and as long as possible and see what happens

Life will be very short if there is no plants to take care of the CO2.

Uhh yes? In terms of statistics, intelligent life existing somewhere else in the universe is rather likely... Especially when considering the billions of solar systems and galaxies and billions of planets and stars in each one.

If Mars shows that at one point it had life, it would make the case even stronger... But still, it's rather likely that life most certainly exists somewhere else throughout the universe.

It only stands to reason that life exists elsewhere and there's a good chance they or it might be intelligent and looking for us as much as we are looking for them. With that said however, recently Steven Hawking proposed that intelligent life in the universe is probably not much more advanced than we are because if they were the likelihood of us contacting each other would be very high given all the signals we've sent out, or that they're just way too far away for us to reach. When you consider that other beings could be thousands of light years away Dr. Hawking's statement makes perfect sense.
