Default Double Planet Questions

Hello,

New to the forums, and curious if anyone knows of any good resources on double planets. I haven't had much luck with google on this topic, unfortunately.

Pretty much any information would be useful, but I'm most interested in what conditions would be like on one of the planets. For example, what might eclipses be like? Tides?

What about smaller satellites? Could a small moon orbit the double planets stably?

Howdy DN,

Welcome to AFN!

I did a quick Google search and came up with a good place to start:

Tides are relative to our Moon, so the Moon's size and distance from the planet would be critical to knowing that info.

Mike

Yeah, went to wikipedia first, but didn't want to admit that.

Hi DominusNovus,

Welcome to Astronomy Forum.
The Earth and Luna could possibly be classified as a double planet.
