The correct place to look for Jupiter right now is not a very good time to be looking at Jupiter. It is only about 50 degs away from the sun. If you look towards the east early in the morning like around 4:30 am it should be about 25 degs above the horzion close to where the sun comes up. here is some data for the planet Jupiter for the next few days. mm dd year_ra____de.__ deg sun Rise___ Set 12 27 2005 14:40 -14:24 053.35 03:19 14:03 12 28 2005 14:40 -14:27 054.20 03:16 14:00 12 29 2005 14:41 -14:30 055.06 03:13 13:57 12 30 2005 14:42 -14:33 055.91 03:10 13:53 12 31 2005 14:42 -14:36 056.77 03:07 13:50 01 01 2006 14:43 -14:39 057.62 03:04 13:46 01 02 2006 14:44 -14:41 058.48 03:00 13:43 |

Jupiter is a wonderful planet to observe. Right now it is in the constellation of Libra. Assuming you are near Miami Jupiter rises about 2 in the morning. You can see it low and rising in the Southeast until about 6 when the sky starts to get bright. Check the interactive chart below. Jupiter is an olive-drab circle with a curly 4 shape on it. Just set the time to London Time, so 6 in the morning Florida time would be 11:00:00 London Time. Enjoy! |
