What are the best eyepieces for Orion Skyquest 10" Dobsonian for viewing...

...planets and deep space? I just purchased an Orion Skyquest XT10 10" Dobsonian telescope. What would be the best eyepieces to view the planets as well as deep space? It has a 2" eyepiece mount with an adapter for 1.25" eyepiece. It came with a 25mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece (1.25") and a 10mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece (1.25"). Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have a look at any of the introductory astronomy books, like Nightwatch or The Backyard Astronomer's Guide. You would probably end up shopping for a 2" wide-field eyepiece, and buy a Barlow to get more mileage from the Plossl eyepieces you already have.

A good book to check out on this is "Astronomy Hacks." If you don't want to buy it, just check out the chapter (hack) on eyepieces. These people have a wealth of experience, and their recommendations are very very solid.
