    Default Orion Sirius 8 EQ-G Reflector Telescope with GoTo Controller



    Anyone here have it? I am really thinking of pulling the trigger and buying this today, I realize it's heavy. and i'm okay with that. But before i went ahead and purchase this i wanted to hear some words of wisdom! haha.

    I ordered it Yesterday, as well as the autoguider and a T-ring for my DSLR. It's rainy here in NJ so hoping the rain goes away by the time i get it!!!

    Well I got my scope today, i just finished putting it together, it's almost sun down here in New jersey, cannot wait!!!!!

    it came with Starry night software, looks really interesting.

    the synscan came with a cable to connect it to my PC, my laptop does not have this port going to have to see if i can get an adapter of some kind or if i could buy a USB version.

    Hey guys, what barlow lense would be good enough for planets and some deep sky objects? the Plossl 25mm that came with this unit is not bad, but i need more power!

    You are a lucky thing!
    I'd get a 15mm, a 10mm and a 2x barlow that will give you a range from 200x down to 40x - ideal!
    You may need a field flattener or coma corrector with a focal length that short, sounds real nice though
