    yeah, my wife kept saying " that looks fake!" the images were quite clear and sharp though. like i said previously, i could see a little hint of banding below the rings. i did notice the stars were heavily twinkling, so maybe it was very unstable up above.

    one other thing; do you happen to know what type of cord you use for updating the hand controller? i guess it would be a serial to usb connection/adapter. the person i bought the scope from did not have the cord. have you had to update your controller yet?

    I needed to buy a USB-to-Serial adapter for my XT12G. The one Radio Shack sells works with the SynScan controller. I'ver never updated the controller but I use the cable to control the scope from Stellarium.
