Why are the Star Wars movies considered nerdy? Because it takes place in space?

OK - hear me out. Why is it that something like Star Wars, which made a lot of money and a lot of sequels, is considered geeky when other blockbusters like Titanic and Batman and Indiana Jones aren't? Just because it takes place in space? Is that it? To me, Titanic and Star Wars are the same thing: big movies that made a lot of money that everybody has seen. It must be because the people who are into it are just DDDDREADFUL. |
