We had a bit of snow fall in the wee hours of Monday. The wind blew at 40mph for 2 days from the NW. Then it switched around and blew for 2 days from the SE. The result, snowbanks you can drive a semi on top of, almost as hard as cement!

We have about the same amount here though it has been raining the last two days which has turned it into 30cm of ice now.

    5 inches here.

    Perfect snowman/snowball snow.
In the woods it is quiet.
I walked out with my wife this afternoon. I feel like the apparatchik walking out in the forest of his dacha.
Only some deer tracks and maybe where a squirrel had been digging hidden acorns could mark the whiteness.
I have a "servant" who will come lated if the snow does not melt and clear the long drive.

My vivid imagination will be disabused when I receive his bill. :-)

    Cheers !

Got some good pics of covered trees, branches touching the ground. Happy I don't have a Bradford Pear.

0600 was beautiful- exquisite quiet. The only sound was the failure of snow laden branches.

Same. The mud is beginning to freeze right now. When it thaws tomorrow it will be especially enjoyable.
