Default What kind of motorcycle do you ride?

I ride a Harley Davidson Wide Glide with lots of chrome. My wife bought it for me in 2004. But, she stipulated that I had to sell my old shovel head. Guess she got tired of all the colorful metaphors issuing forth from the garage when I worked on it.Lol! Regards, Bill

My male macho thing is not a motorcycle. It's several telescopes.
When I see signs around posted on street corners saying "please respect motorcyclists" my thought is -yes I will- when they respect my right to a quiet life.
I hope your bike is a nicely rumbling machine instead of a raucous , snarling , neighborhood awakening demon with a stereo system that busts eardrums.
    Just saying....

Goldstar, I have after market Vance and Hines pipes on mine, with the baffles still in place. It's a bit louder than stock but still legal in California. Louder than stock motorcycle exhaust is more of a survival technique so all the morons texting hear you coming! LOL! Kept the stock pipes on it for three months. The tenth time some idiot tried to share the lane with me, I put on a bit louder pipes. As to stereo, I completely agree! The only music I need is the sound of that big American V-Twin rumbling beneath me. Biggest problem here in Southern California is not old farts like me on Harleys, it's youngsters on rice rockets. By the way, for most of us, riding a motorcycle is not a "Macho" thing, its more like a "wind in my face and bugs in my teeth" thing. Good wholesome protein in bugs! LOL!

It's got me thinking that when riding my bicycle I should (as well as the day-glo vest, helmet and multi-mirrors) mount 1000 W of stereo so people know I'm around.
