I just played a clip of FMJ for a coworker the other day when we found a jelly donut sitting on someone desk (supposed to be a no food policy).

I just read about R. Lee Ermeys death. I logged on here to look around before turning in for the night and saw this thread.....FULL METAL JACKET, it looked as if he was in his natural element in that movie, probably didn't have to do to many cuts being he was a Marine Drill Instructor. I will miss him in movies, he was a very diverse actor, he could play a comic roll as well as a serious one..................R.I.P Gunney Sgt. Ermey

Not many people remember that GySgt Ermey had a smaller part in a movie called "The Boys in Company C" almost ten years before "Full Metal Jacket". I've been a fan since 1978.
    Rest in Peace, Gunny Ermey.
