    Cellulose nitrate could be an issue if stuck into a hot pipe. I actually have a few bars of it that I have worked with and it will spark while you are working with it.

    Just a note to Robjr: if you haven't worked with it yet be sure to check out amboyna burl. It's wonderful stuff, very closed grain. It ends up resembling acrylic. You have olive, brown, gray and orange. Probably my favorite wood.

    Very nice work, the pens will be a good interest, lots of things you can do, wine stopper looks like pine but the colour is rich .. great for those damn cloudy nights ! ENJOY.
    Dont breathe the dust, my lathe was the messiest machine i ever had 😁

    Hi guys
    Some interesting projects here I have a Smithy 1324 granite mill and lathe combo I bought it new in 2000 and been a nice machine all these years for the home hobbies it’s a nice machine .Can also make nice scope parts.
    If you have a lathe then you need a mill also.Just my thoughts.

    I made this vase from a piece of Poplar wood. It's an inside out turning.
