    Thumbs up Between jobs movies.

I currently find myself "between jobs" so plenty of time for Netflix (and observing!). By choice no cable-it keeps me sane.
At the risk of hearing "Oh no! Not another "favorites" thread"-here I go on top favorite Sci-Fi movies:
    1) 2001 1968 Kubrick
    2) Contact 1997 Zemeckis
    3) BladeRunner 1982 Scott. And for Rogan- I too love the "tears in rain " scene with Rutger Hauer. Apparently these were his own lines he asked Ridley Scott to use.
    4) The Time Machine- George Pal 1960.
    5) Total Recall-1990 Paul Verhoeven
I could go on and on but lets hear your choices. Forget the great flops such as Wateryworld and Battlefield Earth-unless someone wants to pitch in with the worst Sci-Fi's ever made?

I watched "bounty killer" the other night. It was pretty amusing in a macbre sort of way.

Also have been watching the old Star Trek episodes they crack me up. Kirk gets lucky in 9 out of 10 episodes they guy is personally responsible for populating the universe it seems.

Also a big fan of "Battlestar Galactica" the one with Eddy Almos as Adama and Katie Sackoff as Starbuck, the 2004 TV series. But Netflix only has it on disk now

Oh yea just today got an email from NF they are raising the rates again ... sigh.

I got the same e-mail, but what can you do? Beats staring out the window all day although at the moment there is a spectacular rain storm on show. May be it will clear the air for tonight..

I liked Waterworld LOL. Bladerunner can't be topped. Try Forbidden Planet for a treat. The new Terminator is actually pretty good the second time round. Give it a look.

My secret shame (not secret anymore!) is "The Core" 2003 by Jon Amiel. My favorite science fiction movie sans science.
I really love the old Ray Harryhausen movies (We don't need no steenkn' CGI!).

I rewatch them periodically. Also DS9 which was my favorite post Kirk series. Though I have reviewed all the others at least twice.
