    Default Lunar Eclipse on Aug 16, 2008 in time lapse

    This is a time lapse video of a lunar eclipse over Germany on August 16, 2008.

    [ame="http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=GWmUvMCcF2c"]YouTube - Dark Moon: Lunar Eclipse 2008[/ame]

    (I didn't manage to embed the video, so I hope posting the link is ok - any help is appreciated :-)

    This is what I did:
    * Took pictures with a Nikon D40 / 300mm telephoto lens
    * Adjusted brightness/contrast with Photoshop Elements and cropped pictures
    * aligned pictures with Giotto
    * used Windows Movie Maker + Audacity for video & sound.

    Hope you enjoy it...

    Hi Phreddle thanks!
    sorry since you have less than 10 posts it moderates images/videos/links.

    By the way it automatically embeds the youtube url with a link and video screen too!

    but thanks for posting it its beautiful!

    I didn't use a telescope, it was an old Cambron 300mm telephoto lens (bought 2nd hand for about 40$) with a Nikon D40. I cropped the original pictures and used only the center part, so it looks like higher magnification.

    Thanks for your offer (is that dzi─Ökuj─Ö in your language?), but...

    It took me about several hours to make the youtube video, and I don't really want to start again at the moment ;-)

    But why don't you post your photos in the forum gallery? I'm sure they would be welcome!

    regards, phreedle
