Default What do you think of when you see a full moon?

How does it affect you, (if it does)?

I think about Treasure Planet. You know, the movie with the cities on the moon

Having taught English for many years, I always find myself thinking of the words of Philip Sydney, the Elizabethan poet: "With how sad steps, O Moon, thou climb'st the skies / How silently and with how wan a face."
I don't go for the rest of the sonnet, but almost every night that I see the full moon, those words leap to mind.

Default Think or Feel?

To me a warm feeling inbraces me. My ancestors were so attached to the moon that clocks and hopes revolved around it. Now i believe that the full moon is a way to remind us of a simple heart, simple mind, and a simple spirit. No matter if these things are strong now, they may not always were and they may decline in the future.

It's too bright for watching Deep Sky Objects, no use setting up the telescope... ;-)

Still, a full moon in a summer night is a beautiful sight.

I'm with Phreedle on this.

I think - No deep sky observing tonight - and look at either planets or double-stars.

Full Moon is even a poor time to view the Moon - you can see much more detail on the Moon when it is only partly lit - especially near the terminator, where shadows are more pronounced.
An example - I was looking for the Hadley Rille a few weeks ago - could only see it well, for a couple of nights out of the Moon's cycle, when the terminator was near it.
