    Default Advice and Information required...

I post to gain advice for a potential project of catching the first glimpse of the new moon due in June, which will occur on the 13th, in the UK at least, I hope I am not incorrectly informed.

Context - the Islamic month of Ramadhan is due to finish either upon a naked-eye-witness to the new new moon, so to speak, or failing an eyewitness account, an extra day is accorded. I don't know how the calculations for the extra day, even two sometimes is formulated.

My project is to capture on media that first sighting. Please, can someone tell me if this is feasible. I am guessing that perhaps a light plane may be needed, if there is cloud cover, making naked eye impossible, from where in the UK would you fly said plane from? If i was hiring the plane, how many hours would I book it out for? Which way should the plane be pointing at? I hope you get the gist.

Even if is due on the 13th maybe it is the case that it won't be physically possible to see it with the name eye, even in a plane? Could this be the case?

I would then want to stream video. Of course, even if it was possible, two weeks may not be enough time to arrange anything, still, your advice would be beneficial for the next year.

You would have my eternal thanks, which I express in advance. Much much appreciation.
