Default A few recent moon shots

I have been trying out the XT12 on the moon as it gets more illuminated. Here are some pictures from the bigger telescope. I don't know if the camera sees much difference. I know I can pick out more detail at the eyepiece. For example, the "texture" around Copernicus seems significantly sharper and more detailed through the XT12 than the XT6. Anyway, thanks for looking.

pictures are almost always taken afocally using my XT6 with a 25 mm eyepiece, 0.5x focal reducer, and a Fuji point and shoot camera.

    Very nice, MrShorty!

The 12" with a 5mm eyepiece and steady seeing will blow you away with lunar observing. You can almost smell the regolith.
